This May, Greece will host a new edition of Hack2BRIDGE, the European hackathon designed to connect SMEs, startups, researchers and professionals from the tech and creative sectors to develop innovative solutions to current challenges in Tourism and the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs).

Focusing on digitalisation, sustainability, personalisation and gamification, Hack2BRIDGE Greece offers a collaborative environment to tackle real needs in the tourism and cultural sectors. Participants will choose one of five challenge themes, addressing topics such as personalised travel experiences, circular tourism, immersive cultural routes through AR/VR/XR, digital transition in tourism operations, or gamification applied to heritage and creative content.

Throughout the event, teams will work to design feasible solutions with the support of experienced mentors and business, academic and institutional experts.

A two-day intensive programme

The competition will take place on 16 and 17 May 2025. The first day will include a welcome session, inspirational talks, networking activities and the start of the hacking phase. On the second day, participants will finalise their projects, present them to a jury, and take part in the awards ceremony and official closing.

Hack2BRIDGE is open to SMEs, startups and multidisciplinary teams from across Europe. Participants must be over 18 years old, and at least part of the team must attend the event in person.

Prizes and participation benefits

All participating teams will gain direct access to the mini acceleration programme by egg enter grow now, a 4-day intensive entrepreneurship course by STARTAB Programme, and benefit from networking opportunities with experts and investors, along with the development of business skills and visibility.

The three finalist teams will receive invitations to major international fairs and exhibitions targeting CCIs and tourism, such as ITB Berlin, WTM London, Fitur 2026, EMITT Istanbul and TTG Travel Experience Rimini, where they will have the opportunity to present their solutions and explore internationalisation pathways.
