The first edition of Hack2BRIDGE successfully concluded on May 17 2025 at the egg premises in Athens, bringing together dozens of participants from across Europe to tackle key challenges in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) and Tourism ecosystems. Co-organised by Corallia, egg enter grow go, the Regional Development Fund of Attica, and the Innovation Center of Attica Region, under the aegis of SETE and New Metropolitan Attica and with the support of Creative Hub GR by EKKOMED – Creative Greece, the event served as a meeting point for SMEs, startups, researchers, and professionals to collaborate and develop innovative solutions.
Participants addressed five main challenge themes: Personalised travel experiences, Sustainable, resilient, and circular tourism, Digital guides and cultural routes, Digital transition for tourism management and operations, and Gamification applied to cultural heritage and creative content. Over two days, the teams worked intensively, supported by mentors, industry experts, and academic leaders, to design practical solutions that respond to real needs in the tourism and cultural ecosystems.
The competition concluded with the announcement of the three winning projects created during the event: Narratologies, Calt, and Famejam, taking first, second, and third place respectively. The winners shared a total of 9,000€ in prizes and received access to the Acceleration Platform by egg. All three projects showed innovative ideas and strong potential for growth, impressing the jury composed of representatives from New Metropolitan Attica, the Museum of Cycladic Art, Corallia, Marketing Greece S.A., Creative Hub GR by Ekkomed, and the Regional Development Fund of Attica.
Hack2BRIDGE Greece not only showcased the potential of European SMEs and startups to innovate in CCIs and Tourism ecosystems but also provided a launchpad for further development through acceleration, visibility, and networking. With access to egg’s acceleration programme, the three winning teams will continue to refine their solutions and explore new market opportunities.
This event marked the first of five Hack2BRIDGE hackathons focused on the different ecosystems targeted by the BRIDGESMEs project: Mobility, Transport & Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Cultural & Creative Industries, Electronics, and Tourism. The upcoming events will be announced on the official website and social media channels.
